1986 Porsche 944 turbo Coupe. One owner from brand-new with only 48,460 original well cared for adult driven miles. This is one of the most amazing time capsule cars that I have found in a long time. Walking up to the home I met the owner of this remarkable car and I immediately recognized Mike from when he bought this car from us at Inskip Porsche in Warwick Rhode Island where I was a sales manager for over 14 years. He was a regular figure around the dealership where he had all his service work attended to on this Porsche. It even still had the same license plates that I remember him having. I had no idea that I would ever come across this car and was amazed at how original and pristine it is. Mike special ordered this car new and finished the exterior in Guards red over partial black leather interior, he equipped his car with a limited slip differential, partial leather seating surface, central locking system, protective side moldings, rear window wiper, four spoke sports steering wheel, cruise control, and electric sunroof. He sent this car which was ordered without a stereo to tweeter etc. in Providence and had very sympathetic installation of a very high-end stereo system installed. And even to this day it sounds outstanding! It was stealthily installed, beautifully done.

This car carries all its original paperwork including the original purchase and sale agreement, bill of sale, window sticker, odometer statement and all its service history paper receipts. It also has all its master keys, valet key, wheel lock keys and locks, which is still on the wheels, air compressor, vinyl gloves, kneeling Matt to change spare tire, plastic tire bag, tools, jack, books, leather key bag even the white plastic bottle with spray nozzle to wash your windows which all these cars were equipped with in their trunks. The spare tire has never been on the ground in this vehicle! It has never had paint work of any kind and has no odors of any kind. This automobile is the real deal.

Although the service history shows that Inskip replaced the timing belt at 30,000 miles it was many years ago so this vehicle will have its timing belt replaced and all the other necessary pieces and parts that go along with this service before this vehicle is delivered to the next owner.

If you are looking for a piece of Porsche history without breaking the bank. Then this Porsche should be your next car. There are not many of these left that weren’t ridden hard and put up wet. But you will know the moment you touch this car it is the holy Grail. In fact, as I was sitting in the car about the drive out of the driveway and away from the home the car has ever known the owner asked me “are you really going to drive this car on these roads”? How about the potholes! I promise to be super careful, and I was.
